I recently bought this game, and I had already played years and extremely loved it. It was fun and enjoyable and I was really excited to get this game. I received it yesterday and I was skeptical about all the bad reviews but it was pretty cheap so I took my chance.

I installed it without a problem minutes maybe less and then I hit the play bottom and that\’s when it started. It kept saying \”wrong disk\” even though the disk was inside. I tried uninstalling and installing but it gave the same answer. Perhaps I got one of the bad copies that are out there and should have been recalled but I was very upset, luckily the customer service was quick and kind and they already refunded my money so I\’ll probably buy the digital copy from steam since the game there is probably already updated.

So just be carefully in buying this game since their might still be bad copies out there. One person found this helpful. I never once had to restart because of a glitch. If you played this first one, this one is pretty much the same except with more added to it. I recommend getting a Xbox controller that is compatible with windows for this game, because the keyboard functions make the game play kind of clunky and awkward.

Basically, you play out the last 4 movies of the Harry Potter series, 6 levels per movie with some story levels in between. You goal is to collect gold bricks by saving students, collecting studs, gathering crests, and generally completing levels. There is quite a bit of puzzle solving, dueling, and spell casting as you go along. Very fun game. First bought this when the game originally came out and just like everybody else returned it due to the securerom bug. Couple weeks later saw it come back for sale so I contacted Amazon support rep and made sure that the bug was no longer an issue.

I was reassured that it was so I went ahead and repurchased. Like the first game this is great fun. New features, locations, and spells. I haven\’t encountered any gameplay bugs yet which is good.

Overall worth the purchase price. Still massive glitches. I am glad to report that whatever Securom issues this game might have had are gone. That does not, however, mean that it works. I have this installed on a computer that easily meets and in most cases exceeds by a fair margin the requirements for this game. However, it will not save any progress, ever. It also will not save control settings, ever.

Plus, after playing for a while, the sound goes out, except for the music. The game is fun, and I really HOPE that some day I can actually see more of it, but having to start from scratch every time I launch the game means I likely will never even get to the second level.

I don\’t have that kind of time to devote all at one stretch. WB Games has no on-line support.
